The following is a statement released by Team B.C. head coach Tom Kudaba thanking all the players who attended an invitation camp and congratulating the players that have been invited to training camp:

“Over the last two weeks, the 2010 coaching staff of the provincial U-18 team assessed some 200-plus players at camps in Nanaimo, Kamloops, Abbotsford and New Westminster. On behalf of all the coaches, I would like to say that it was indeed a pleasure to have worked with all the athletes who came out to demonstrate their athletic skills. I would also like to say that all the coaches were impressed with the overall talent level of the players and this is a tribute to the players and the coaches of the programs they play with. The talent pool in our province continues to improve and with the renewal of Football BC’s commitment to national championship participation, it bodes well for our province’s success at such competitions.
I would personally like to thank all the players for their efforts and remind them that hard work and training may not always help you reach your goals but it does make you a better athlete and person. For those who were not selected, keep your dedication and commitment growing. For those who do get to continue on, one step is taken but more are ahead. We’ll be in touch regarding details shortly.”
