VANCOUVER — Daniel Markin and Deion Bain are feeling the football karma stronger than ever, and the W.J. Mouat defence is more than holding its own.

After an unplanned week of due to a forfeit, then a four-hour wait brought on by two prior game delays, the No. 2-ranked Hawks showed that keeping team focus is one of their strengths in an xx-xx shutout win over the Terry Fox Ravens.

After a scoreless first half, quarterback Markin threw touchdown passes of 22 and seven yards in the second quarter to receiver[s] Bains [and David Park]. Then in the third quarter, Markin went 32 yards to Bain to complete the natural hat trick.

Running back Devin Logan’s 60-yard scoring run made it 31-0 heading into the fourth quarter,

The Hawks move on to face Okanagan champion Kelowna in the quarterfinals next weekend at UBC’s Thunderbird Stadium.
